Dr. Lee Welky graduated from Brown University in 1967. In 1972, he graduated from Tuft's School of Dental Medicine at New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1970, while in dental school, he was awarded a commission in the United States Navy. He served on active duty during the Vietnam War and retired as a Lieutenant Commander from the United States Navy in 1990.
While in the Navy, he received extensive training at Bethesda Naval Hospital in oral surgery, prosthetics and endodontics. He was also commanding officer of the Naval dental health clinic at South Weymouth Naval Air Station.
He has prior experience in private practice in Boston, Massachusetts, Boca Raton, Florida and has been in Bonita Springs, Florida since 2000.
